The Audi A5 was unveiled simultaneously at the Geneva Motor Show and the Melbourne International Motor Show on March 6th 2007. Since then it has won two Red Dot Design awards in 2007 and was also one of the nominees for 'World Car of The Year Awards 2008.'

The A5 model with a 3.2 L V6 engine averages around 21 MPG and generates around 260 BHP. There are models with more green-friendly 2.0 L engines that should get you nearer to 40 MPG.

If the power of the 3.2 L V6 A5 isn't enough to get your blood pumping then you can always try the S5; this will set you back an extra $15,000 but it will reward you with a throaty 4.2 L V8 generating almost 350 BHP.
